      In order to ensure that each customer’s disk furnished job moves as efficiently as possible through the plant, we have established a set of guidelines to aid customers in collection and submission of their electronic files. Adhering to these guidelines as closely as possible is necessary to ensure that our goals of a quality product and a timely delivery are met. Please download either the Microsoft Word or PDF format of our Output Form below.

      M&D Printing requires that a complete, current hard copy accompany all electronic files submitted for film output. All files must be created on a supported platform using one of the supported applications listed on the Output Form.       PLEASE NOTE: If a Network Password dialog box should appear when accessing the Word Document format, just hit cancel and the document will appear. YOU DO NOT NEED A PASSWORD TO ACCESS THIS FORM.

Creating PDF Files & Submitting to M&D

      Below is a pdf file for downloading which contains the details of creating your Postscript files and Distilling them to PDf files with the correct settings for Distiller. The PDF files can then be uploaded to M&D's FTP Site. There are also two files which contain the Pref settings for Distiller. One is for Mac users (a .sea file) and the other is for PC users (a .zip file)

FTP Guidelines

Uploading files to M&D Printing's FTP Site

      Within the ever-changing world of technology, things continue to advance in efficiency, quality and speed. M&D Printing is proud to be among those on this cutting edge.

      As the convenience of the Internet and the availability of broadband connections become more common, electronic file submission has changed accordingly.

      More and more jobs are being submitted via email or uploaded to our FTP site.

      Following are instructions on how to upload files to M&D Printing’s FTP site. If you have any questions, please feel free to call your M&D Customer Service Representative. They will be happy to help you begin this process.

      Customer must have an FTP client such as Fetch or FTP Explorer. There are dozens of FTP programs, any of which will work. If you happen to not have an FTP program or are unsure of where to get one, M&D would be happy to assist in directing you to websites where the programs can be downloaded free of charge.

      M&D Printing FTP Address - Please call or email your Customer Service Representative for User Name and Password.

      Customers should upload their files to the “incoming” folder, and place them in a folder labeled in a way that will make it easy for our operators to determine what job they are for.

      Communicate with your Customer Service Representative and let them know that the files have been sent to M&D.
