Annual Calendar Program
Each year M&D Printing makes available gratuitous desk calendars to our community and our clients. This tradition has been going on for many years. Each year a theme for the calendar is developed and the photography and creative work begins. This full color calendar has become very popular throughout the area.

DC Busters

DC Busters is an organization developed and maintained by parents from the local Junior High Schools. Parents of eighth grade students that wish to give their children an opportunity to share in an outstanding educational trip may do so through this organization. Participating students from local schools tour the cities of Washington D.C., Gettysburg, PA, and Williamsburg, VA. These dedicated parents help their students and other students raise money to cover the cost of the five-day, five-night tour.
Most of the students that go on this trip would not be able to attend without the help of the local area businesses and people of the towns of Henry, Lacon, Sparland, and Varna, IL. For the 2003 trip, $27,000.00 was raised and as a result, 48 students were able to take a trip of their lifetime. M&D Printing is proud to be part of our community's past, present, and future.
Choices

CHOICES Christmas Choir entertained M&D employees on the morning of December 16. The plant was shut down so everyone could enjoy the group’s Christmas carols. CHOICES (Can’t Have Our Independent Choices Endangering Society) was founded by Peorian Carl Cannon to try to make young people realize how their daily decisions can have long-lasting effects on their lives. Carl was a federal prison guard for more than 20 years and noticed the inmates were getting younger and younger which prompted him to organize CHOICES. M&D Printing has been a proud supporter of CHOICES for the last three years and CHOICES wanted to show their gratitude by performing a small concert for M&D. The CHOICES Choir ended their concert by giving the M&D employees a Merry Christmas hug! It was an uplifting morning and truly got everyone into the Christmas spirit (and maybe brought a tear or two to some)! The CHOICES group was treated to hot chocolate and homemade Christmas cookies, which Julie and Brenda had taken care of.
